Did You Know…Power BI Scheduled Refreshes are Paused Automatically if…

This post is a part of the series “Did You Know” whereby the purpose is to share some quick key point of a particular concept that helps us to be informed on top of our head or something that we want to be revisited quickly. So, no detailed discussions on the topic but a straight finding about it in a line or two.

Yes, after two months of inactivity (means no user has visited any dashboard or report based on your dataset), scheduled refresh of dataset is paused automatically. It gets disabled after four consecutive errors too. But don’t worry, owners of the dataset is sent a notification email about this in either case.
